Customer Review: If you want a good screw, this is the sexiest of the bunch

This model opens any wine bottle with ease, no effort or pulling, and it lets you extract the cork from the corkscrew effortlessly with a simple reverse turn of the opener. Simply turning the handle pulls the cork out of the bottle; then, gently squeezing the plastic sides holds the cork firm, while you reverse screw the coil out of the cork. I had an earlier version that did not have the pinch mechanism to remove the extracted cork from coil, and was pleasantly surprised that this model is significantly better for both extraction from the bottle and for removal of the cork from the screw. I highly recommend this model. No need to buy the more expensive model with the ball. Works equally well for men or women, IMO. It is nice if you also have a tool that cuts the wrapper that sits over the cork, but if you don't, you can use the sharp point at the end of the coil to pierce the wrapper and peal it off, where necessary.
